Dassault enters SME mart

PUNE: After serving automobile and manufacturing giants, Product lifecycle management (PML) Solutions Company, Dassault Systemes, is all set to hit the small and medium enterprise (SME) market in India .The Company on Thursday announced a tie up with Indian product sales and services software firm, DesignTech Systems, in this regard.
DesignTech would work as a value-added reseller for Dassault in India and promote the latter’s products within the SME segment.
Dassault Systems at present has 800 customers in India with International Business Machines (IBM) as its partner.
“We will continue our relationship with IBM and the company would continue to serve around 20 key clients. DesignTech has an extensive presence in the SME segment across the country and we will use the same to enter this market,” Dassault Systems country director Suman Bose told the media. The company plans to increase its customer base in India by 50 per cent annually for the next three years. DesignTech, which has over 1,500 customers, has been serving various defense establishments, automotive companies and manufacturing units in the country.
“We have worked with the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) Vehicles Research and Development Establishment (VRDE) and a number of DRDO firms. Our association with Dassault will help us provide better solutions to our clients,” DesignTech managing director Vikas Khanvelkar said. The company has clients like Kalyani Forge and PARI.
