Dassault Systems ties up with DesignTech

DesignTech Systems, a leading CAD/CAM/CAE and Product Life Cycle management solution provider in India, has tied up with Dassault Systems, a pioneering company in the PLM area, to work as a value-added reseller for Dassault in India. The company is expressively targeting the small and medium enterprise (SME) market segment in this area. Says Vikas Khanvelkar, MD, DesignTech: “We have over 1,500 customers which is a testimony to the deep market penetration we have in the Indian market, and we are keen to use this experience to further provide better solutions to the SME segment with the help of Dassault.” Designtech has been serving various defense establishments, automotive companies and manufacturing units in the country and has a pan-India network with over 140 engineers working in R&D alone in Hyderabad and Pune.

Remarking on the tie-up, Suman Bose, country director, India, Dassault Systemes PLM Sales said:”DesignTech has an extensive presence in the SME segment across the country and we will use the same to enter this market.” Bose believes that PLM market has accelerated rapidly in the last 3 years and would continue to do so in the near term. With the strong growth and investment in the infrastructure and utilities segment in India, the PLM solutions are expected to reap a rich harvest from the heavy engineering segment as well, As a world leader in 3D and PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) solutions, Dassault Systemes develops and markets PLM application software and services that support industrial processes and provide a 3D vision of the entire lifecycle of products from conception to maintenance.
